Product Description

Jalapeno Early is prolific bush pepper that yields flavorful medium-heat peppers. This Jalapeno fruits earlier than most and is adapted to cooler growing conditions. 2' tall bushes produce peppers that can be harvested green, or red if left to ripen longer.   Peppers are compact 3" cone lengths. A perfect pepper for pickling or cooking.


Maturity in approximately 65 days to green, 85 days to red.

Planting Instructions

Sun Exposure: Full sun is a must – hot peppers need lots of light and heat to thrive

Sowing Method: Seedlings; requires deeply-worked, well-drained and moist soil

When to Sow: Start indoors 8 weeks before last frost

Seed Depth: 1/4” deep

Plant Spacing: 12” - 18” apart – best if plants are touching slightly 

Row Spacing: 24” - 36” between rows 

Germinates in: 7 - 15 days 

Germination Temp: 65° to 85°

Matures in: Approx. 65 days to green, 85 days to red
